United Way is helping resolve crises by:

Helping people achieve basic life needs and become self-sufficient

Hunger and homelessness are serious problems in our community.  United Way has helped provide food to the hungry, and secured shelter and transitional housing for individuals and families.  Through Resolving Crisis, United Way is:

  • Reducing the number of involuntary homelessness in our communities
  • Helping individuals and families learn life and social skills that lead to more stable, productive lives

Through supporting United Way's Resolving Crisis, you will help resolve crises in our community.  For a list of 2009-2010 United Way grant recipients in each of the four focus areas, click here.
