Stamp Out Hunger is the nation's largest single-day food drive with more than 100,000 pounds of food donated last year within United Way of the Wine Country's five-county region, and more than 70 million pounds of food nationally. It's easy to make a big difference by placing bags filled with nonperishable food items next to your mailbox on Saturday, May 12. Your letter carrier will pick-up the bags and deliver them to local food banks including the Redwood Empire Food Bank.
What types of items should be donated?
Canned meats, fish, soup, bottled juice, vegetables, pasta, cereal and rice that do not require refrigeration. Please do not include items that have expired or are in glass containers.
Help spread the word! Tell your friends, family and co-workers about the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
