United Way of the Wine Country has been dedicated to improving lives locally for 50 years. Everyone deserves a good life: a quality education that leads to a stable job, income that can support a family through retirement, and good health. To create lasting change, United Way focuses on solving the underlying causes of common problems related to education, income and health. We are committed to achieving lasting solutions - not just quick fixes - for our entire community.
Tina Sheldon could be referred to as a calculated woman. While this term may be inferred as a reference to her 21 year career in banking, it speaks more to her sense of purpose in her personal and professional lives.
Tina is Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for Summit State Bank on their Commercial Lending Team. Her extensive lending background is valuable to small businesses, agriculture, and wineries and vineyards. This work underscores Summit's commitment to the agricultural community in Sonoma County. Tina holds a Business Administration and Finance Degree from Sonoma State University.
We know Tina well as a valued member of our Board of Directors since 2014 where she assumed the role of Treasurer in 2017. She is our current Chair of the Finance Committee and founding member and key influencer of Women United.
You'll know Tina's true purpose when you see her with her husband, Scott, and her two children, Emmett (8) and Kelsey (5). Tina loves spending time with her family and is actively involved with St. Eugene’s School. A few months ago, Tina worked with a couple of parents from the school to start an all-girl Cub Scout Pack so Kelsey could be included in all the fun. Tina is now a Cub Scout Lion Den Leader for this group of future Women United members and community leaders...the first all-girl Cub Scout Pack in Sonoma County! Emmett is a Cub Scout as well. The family has recently expanded with the welcoming of a bonded pair of French Bulldogs, Benny and Natalie. Tina also enjoys traveling, reading and drinking wine.
Thank you, Tina, for your leadership and for being such an outstanding supporter of United Way!
